The Charles City Historic Preservation Commission  was established to oversee the development and management of the Historic Preservation Program for Charles City.  This program is focused on increasing public awareness of Charles City's heritage; identifying historic and cultural resources; designating and recognizing significant local resources; and assisting in protecting, preserving and enhancing the best examples of Charles City's past.
